Here's my full collection of moths created for my 'Drawn to the Flame' project where I transformed a variety of materials to take the form of a moth as a way of exploring the potential of reusing fabrics to combat fast fashion trends and to take responsibility of the materials I choose to use in my practice. I was interested in the process of metamorphosis, showing how impactful and unexpected change can be. 

I displayed most of  the work on a frame I made, and placed the rest along the wall. I wanted to scatter them to create movement in the wings, and directed them all towards the light bulb in the center to represent the 'flame', which could be taken literally or as a metaphor for what types of materials we are drawn to consume.
