Artist Statement
Hi, I'm Arianwen, a mixed-media textile artist based in Cardiff. My practice is guided by my fascination with all things nature, brought to life through my craft-based creations, making work that all feels like it belongs in the same universe. I'm drawn to slow processes and intricate details; the haptic relationship between me and my materials sparks my curiosity and love for skill learning. Sustainability is a consistent influence on my material choices, I find my projects often stem from second-hand fabrics I've collected, intuitively transforming them into something that holds a little bit of whimsy. I'm interested in running workshops & am open to commissions, please get in touch if you would like to be a part of my creative network!
